AlzHeimer's disease diagnostics

It is becoming clear that new treatments for Alzheimer's Disease will need to be given before the disease reaches the dementia stage.  Even without new disease modifying treatments, there is a pressing healthcare need to improve dementia diagnosis across the globe.

Our image analysis technology has the potential to transform the diagnostic process by identifying patients at risk of developing dementia. We are investing in developing this technology for healthcare diagnosis on its own and in combination with other technologies.

Our experience in using quantitative imaging in clinical trials to assess the effectiveness of new Alzheimer's therapies provides key insights into the challenges of practical clinical deployments, and our Image Data Management technology provides a platform for ensuring the necessary level of control and standardization in the data.

IXICO is working with partners to evaluate this technology so that in the future  it can be made available to patients.

"Advanced imaging is key to testing new treatments for major disease, and for selecting the patients who will most benefit from those treatments.  IXICO's  quantitative imaging technology is widely used in clinical trials. We are now addressing the even more important challenge of making this technology available in the clinic."
